The membrane grommet looks pretty much like the TRO one but its design is flatter, which makes it lighter and easier to install (ideal for areas of difficult access). It is perfect for manufacturers of “strip lighting” as many other applications. For special colours, please consult us.

The TRO membrane grommet is very simple to use and demands no tools. This part is approved within the standard IP67 in his components, internally as well as externally. The membrane grommet is resistant against water and most chemicals. The part is fabricated with two materials: EPDM and CR. The membrane grommet handles an exceptional large cable span and is equipped with a pop-out membrane providing a wider range of applications than traditional membrane grommet. With the pop-out membrane you have a sealed cap but even after passing a cable you maintain a guaranteed IP67 standard. The grommet needs no further installation tools and works extremely well even if cables pass through at extreme angles. Our patented TKL membrane cable gland is made up of two components whose composition (TPE and PA66) and design allows fast and safe cable anchoring. The outer TPE layer works as a protector and prevents possible damage to the cables while providing vibration damping. The membrane design also meets IP65 certification.
Installation does not require tools and is done with little effort: it is placed by pressing it with your fingers until the cable gland is fixed in position and adjusts to the thickness of the panel where it is inserted. It only protrudes 5 mm from the material into which it is inserted and remains tightly fixed in both directions like a cable gland. The larger the diameter of the cable, the greater the retaining effect.
The different references cover a diameter range of cable or tube from 7 to 13 millimeters.
